How to sign up and make a booking
Applying for Smart Central
  • Press Smart Central
  • Press ‘Apply’ Complete all the details of the application. 
  • Press ‘Save and Continue’. 
  • Your Application has been sent to the OSHC staff. 

Note: All fields that do not say ‘option’ must be filled out to complete the application. Note: We will receive your booking and ‘Approve’. 

Note: You will receive an email from Smart Central Fees that shows you we have Approved your application.

Creating a Regular After School/ Before School Care Booking for Smart Central
  • Select ‘Applications’ 
  • Select ‘New Application’ 
  • Select ‘Copy’ (this will copy over all your details so you do not have to actually re-do the application) 
  • Select ‘Booking’ 
  • Set the Booking Type to ‘Regular booking’
  • Select ‘Start date’ and ‘End date’ 
  • Tick the days you require for either BSC/ ASC or both. 
  • Press ‘save and continue’ 
  • Select ‘Review & Submit’ 

Note: If there is anything with a question mark fill that in/ press save and continue at the bottom so it ticks.

Creating a ‘Casual Booking’ for After School/ Before School Care Smart Central
  1. Select ‘Bookings’
  2. Select ‘New booking’
  3. Select ‘ASC, BSC or VAC’
  4. Select the date you would like to book.
  5. Select the session you would like to book.
  6. Select ‘request’

Vacation Care and Student Free Day Care

Northside Christian College offers Vacation Care during school holidays and student free days. 

Vacation Care is available during each school holidays and Student Free Days (excluding 3 weeks over Christmas and public holidays).

Children are to be signed in by their Parents/ Guardian’s on arrival and on departure. Vacation Care provides a nutritious and healthy snack for morning and afternoon tea, however we ask that families provide lunch for their child.

  • Hours: 7:30am - 6:00pm 
  • Cost: Early bird rate is $50. Regular booking price is $55.
  • Location: College Hall

Costs, provided services and additional information are dependent on the days, so please check these details during booking process.

Vacation Care Cancellations Friendly reminder: The cancellation of bookings in vacation care is a week notice to avoid charges. If you cancel bookings under a week notice you will be charged.

Booking casually the day before/ day of
Our service is to follow the required ratios of 1 staff: 15 children, with this in mind we can not guarantee we have the correct ratios to have children booked in the day before/ day of during vacation care

If you require care for your child the day before/ day of, please call OSHC on 3353 7340 between the hours 7:30 am – 6:00 pm to see if we have space for your child. If you turn up on the day we can not guarantee a space and this puts pressure on the team.

Before School Care
  • Hours: 6:30 am to 8:30 am
  • Cost: $15 for a regular booking, and $17 for a casual booking. Breakfast is provided.
  • Location: College Hall

Before School Care is located in rooms E4 and E5 of the College Hall from 6:30 am – 8:30 am.  Children will walk down to their class rooms around 8:20 am and proceed to line up in preparation for the beginning of the school day, with the exception of Prep’s, who will be accompanied by OSHC educators.

Breakfast is not provided by the service; however, children are welcome to purchase food from the school café or to bring their own food from home.

Parents/Guardian’s must drop their children off at Before School Care and sign in their children upon arrival; the OSHC educators will sign out students as they leave for class. 

After School Care
  • Hours: 3:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Cost:  $25 for a regular booking, and $27.50 for a casual booking. Fees will apply for term-time incursions (Kumon/Sports/Dance, etc.)
  • Location: College Hall

Children walk from their classrooms to the College Hall after school and are signed in by an OSHC educator upon arrival. 

Prep students will be collected, signed in and walked from their classrooms to the College Hall by the OSHC educators. 

Year 1 students will be collected from their classroom during Term 1 and then transitioned to walk to the College Hall themselves by Term 2.

Parents/Guardian’s are to pick up their child prior to 6:00 pm or will be charged payment of $1 per child per 1 minute.

Late Fees & Booking Changes

Late fees will be charged if children are collected after 6pm, at the rate of $1 per child per 1 minute. Parents must inform the OSHC Coordinator via phone 3353 7340 or mobile 0456 722 893 if they are going to be late in collecting their children.

Cancellation Fees: Full fees apply without prior notification (48 hours for Before and After School Care and 7 days for Vacation Care).

‘Last minute’ attendances or absences: As a courtesy to our staff and also a legal requirement of the staff to child ratio, we must know of changes in attendance or absence ASAP. Please do not email in these circumstances. Call the Main Reception on 3353 1266.

Childcare Subsidy

Please contact The Family Assistance Office (Centrelink) to have your eligibility for Child Care Subsidy assessed for Before/After School Care and Vacation Care. To receive this benefit, please provide us with your and your child’s Customer Reference numbers and dates of birth.
