Coaches Wanted

We are currently seeking Volleyball and Basketball coaches for our Term 2 BOSL season. If you have skills in either of these sports and are keen to get involved in the College in a positive way, building our students’ sporting skills, please contact Kayleen Morrison in the Secondary Sport Office (Kayleen.morrison@northside.qld.edu.au).

Secondary Swimming Season

Despite the miserable weather, our team of 20 competed well at the Met North Swimming Carnival, with two swimmers being selected to represent Met North at the up-coming State School Swimming Championships. Good luck to Gabriella McL (16 girls 50m freestyle) and Gabe G (17 boys 50m breaststroke).

North West Independent District Representatives

Congratulations to the following students on their selection in the North West Independent team for their chosen sport:

CSSAQ Swimming

The secondary swimming season culminated in the CSSAQ Swimming Carnival held at Chandler this week. After several weeks of swimming training during Wednesday and Thursday sport time, it was great to see the improvement not only in technique and times, but confidence. Our secondary team was very excited to finish 4th overall. The comradery created by the Swimming Academy is sure to create long-lasting memories for our young swimmers. 

Met North Representatives

Congratulations to Gabriel G and Gabriella McL who have been selected in the Met North Swim Team to compete at the State Schools Swimming Championships.

CSSAQ Touch Gala Days

Congratulations to all students who represented the College at the recent CSSAQ Touch Gala Days.

Our Senior Girls team finished 2nd overall after a nail-biting extra-time drop-off game win in the semi-finals. Special mention also to our Intermediate Girls team who progressed through their pool rounds undefeated!!

The following students were recognized for their playing ability and performance on the day by being selected in the CSSAQ All Stars Honourary Team:  Caleb S, Vivienne C, Abigail P, Oscar O’H, Franceska D, Dakota M and Caden F.
