Giving to Northside
Without generosity of previous generations, Northside would not be here today. Your donation will join the countless others before you who have sown faithfully to see this college fulfil its mission: to make disciples of Jesus Christ, educated and equipped for any future.
From the Principal
Advancing Northside is our campaign to support the vision of Northside, for both current and future students.
The strength of Northside is our faith.
Our faith in Christ, as individuals and as a community, affects the way we do education, relationships, seize opportunities or bear trials.
Our founding teachers had faith that God would see the vision become a reality – and in the same way, you had the faith that God, through Northside, would provide the educational and spiritual guidance your children need.
We want to take this moment to say thank you.
Because of your faith, we have seen Northside students' talents and opportunities burst forth from our new Centre for Innovation and Creativity.
Because of your faith, students have benefited from the refurbished and re-inspired Science Precinct.
Thanks to a generous donation, for the first time we had a Northside Instrumental Music Scholarship given to a Middle School student gifted in the area of music.
And whilst we celebrate these incredible blessings, we recognise that God still has more in store.
Reaching out to you in our Parent Survey, you told us of your hopes to see the original Junior School buildings be renewed and refreshed, and to provide more on-campus sporting facilities for all students.
We listened - two adjoining acreage properties were purchased, adding 35% more land to the campus and providing space for future sporting facilities.
We have also worked and negotiated with Brisbane City Council in order to pipe the Council easement between A and B block (Junior School). God has been faithful, providing a partial Block grant funding to assist with the cost of underground piping. The grant will cover 1/3 of the cost.
Through levies and your donations we will be looking at refurbishing the area, which will open up an extra 1500m of play space in the heart of Junior School. Your donations will help us do this sooner.
The College Foundation has been set up to support these and future projects. Whilst we recognise these are facilities, buildings, structures… we also recognise the importance of these spaces, as this is where relationship and discipleship happens, and where talents and opportunities arise.
I invite you to join me, in continuing the tradition of giving to the vision of Christian Education for our children and grandchildren, and to our mission: to make disciples of Jesus Christ; educated and equipped for any future.
Areas to give:
- Refurbishment of Junior School
- Secondary Sporting Complex
If you are in the position to give, donations to the Northside Foundation can be made before 30 June and are 100% tax deductible.
Thanks for believing in Northside.
